QUETTA: Karezat-Barshore Zila Bahali Committee on Saturday demanded of the authorities that cancellation of notification of Government of Balochistan issued on November 21, 2022, whereby Karezat-Barshore district with headquarters at Khanozai was created, be withdrawn otherwise Quetta-Zhob national highway would be blocked indefinitely on December 05, 2022.

This demand was made by the Sardar Rasheed Nasar, leader of Karezat-Barshore Zila Bahali Committee and others while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Saturday. He said that government of Balochistan through a notification issued on November 21, 2022 created a new district “Karezat-Barshore” with headquarters at Khanozai by bifurcating district Pishin of Balochistan province into two separate districts viz., district Pishin and district Karezat-Barshore, but the said notification was later withdrawn after handful persons resorted to protest.

He said that the withdrawal of the notification issued by the government of Balochistan on November 21, 2022 was not acceptable to the people of the area. Demanding from Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo to cancel the withdrawal of notification whereby “Karezat-Barshore” was created as a separate district with headquarter at Khanozai, he said that if the legitimate demand of “Karezat-Barshore Zila Bahali Committee” was not entertained, Quetta-Zhob national highway of the province would be blocked indefinitely on December 05, 2022.

On the occasion, Haji Nizam-ud-Din Kakar, Akhunzada Faisal Zaman, Haji Muhammad Hassan, Bilal Khan Kakar, Attaullah Kakar, Abdul Bari Kakar, Abdul Ahad Kakar, Muhammad Din Roodwal and others were also present.

Separately, a protest demonstration under the ages of “Karezat-Barshore Zila Bahali Committee” was organized outside Quetta Press Club, demanding the authorities to withdraw the cancellation of notification issued by the government of Balochistan on November 21, 2022 regarding creation of Karezat-Barshore district. Chanting slogans in support of their demand, protesters dispersed peacefully.
