LARKANA: The Sindh government’s Health Department cancelled admissions in its various Paramedical Institutes for session 2020-21 for various trainings without assigning any reason but the fees collected from the candidates has not yet been refunded to them. PPI learnt here on Wednesday.

According to details candidates applied for admission in Chandka Medical College Hospital school for various courses including dispensers, OT Technicians, Lab Technicians, Dental technicians, Ophthalmology technicians, X-Ray technicians, Physiotherapy technicians, Reflection Technicians and Vaccinators but the admissions were cancelled without assigning any reason. There are 185 seats of these technical courses which are must to get a job and most trained dispensers also open their private medical stores.

As many as 35 candidates paid admission and course fee each Rs6000 which also included a female candidate. The CMCH authorities have been constantly asking the Director Admissions for guidance whether candidates should be refunded the amount or not and under what rules or they will be accommodated in the upcoming session but no reply has been given.

On the other hand candidates are regularly pressurizing the CMCH authorities to refund their amount as their session has been cancelled by the government itself without assigning any reason.

Dr. Altaf Hussain Jokhio, CMCH Deputy Medical Superintendent, when contacted said that candidates are pressing very hard for refund of their money but we are waiting for the reply of our queries from the higher authorities of Sindh Medical Faculty. He said as and when guideline is received the candidates will be refunded their payment.
