Srinagar, February 10, 2019 (PPI-OT): Scores of people, today, staged a candlelight protest at Trehgam area of Kupwara district on the eve of 35th death anniversary of prominent Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt. Muhammad Maqbool Butt was hanged and buried on February 11, 1984 in Tihar jail, New Delhi.
An eyewitness said scores of people including family members and relatives of Maqbool Bitt led by Maqbool Butt’s sister, Mehmooda Begum, took out a peaceful candlelight march from their house up to the main market of Trehgam.
