Capital development Authority conducted Mega Anti Encroachment Operation in the city

Islamabad, October 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Capital development Authority (CDA)’ conducted a mega operation in the vicinity of Simly Dam Road, Bhara Kahu Islamabad against illegal encroachments and structures established on the State land and demolished several sheds, Khokhakibans, stairs, shops, oven etc while 11 residential houses sealed due to non conforming use in the National Police Foundation, Sector E-11, Islamabad. During operation to day, Staff of the Enforcement Directorate, with the help of the district administration and Islamabad police, launched a mega operation in the area of Simly Dam Road, Bhara Kahu and demolished a number of encroachments and illegal structures. In this operation, 386 sheds, 30 Khokhakibans, 68 stairs, 29 shops, 30 oven, 163 signboards and 35 vegetable and fruit stalls have been removed.

These encroachments were not only made on State land but also caused hindrance for the pedestrian’s movement as well as traffic hazard. Similarly, CDA’s Building Control Section II issued notices for the violation of building regulation as well as non-conforming use of the residential houses in National Police Foundation, Sector E-11, Islamabad. After expiry of stipulated time period of the notice, the Staff of Building Control-II conducted operation in the said vicinity with the assistance of Enforcement Staff the District Administration and Islamabad Police and sealed 11 houses in violation of building bye-laws and Regulation.

During the operation against violators of building bye-laws, houses were sealed in street No.12 of Sector E-11, House No. 183 house No. 187, and house No 179 Sector E-11/4 were being used as Beauty parlour, house No 213 and house No. 186, are being used as Property offices, House No. 376 was being utilized as, Skin Laser Clinic and Massage center was established in house 208, and house No 184 for property office.

Similarly, office of a Construction Company was established in House No. 456 and Boys Hostel business was being run in House No. 442 and |NGO office was also established in House No. 436 of Street No. 28 of Sector E-11/4. So far Building Control Directorate II has sealed 26 houses on the basis of non confirming use and violations of building bye laws. CDA’s operations against the violation of building bye-laws will remain continue against the violators in the Housing Societies. Apart from this, various teams formed by the Enforcement Directorate have conducted operations in different areas of Islamabad and confiscated the goods which has been later deposited in the CDA store.
