A car fell into a canal adjacent to the Pakistani bridge on Okara-Kasur Road on Thursday morning due to speeding. The incident occurred as a result of reckless driving and over-speeding. Locals pulled all passengers out of the water before emergency responders arrived. Motorcycle service, ambulances and fire rescue units were dispatched from Depalpur to the scene as soon as the information was received. Rescue workers provided first aid to three injured at the scene. Two injured were shifted to hospital after first aid. Efforts are underway to retrieve the submerged car from the canal.
