Karachi, June 14, 2018 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Minister for Labour and Human Resources, Human Rights, Minority Affairs, Katchi Abadis and Spatial Development Simon John Daniel on Thursday paid surprise visit of SESSI city circle office, Lines Area Dispensary, SESSI head office and Kalsoom Bai Valika Hospital and expressed great annoyance on the absence of doctors and office staff. He directed SESSI vice Commissioner Shah Muhammad to ensure the punctuality of doctors and officials and issue warning to absentees.
Caretakers minister was surprised to learn that a boy who was son of female staff of Lines Area dispensary working in place of her mother. “Under which service rule this man is working in place of his mother,” minister questioned Incharge of Dispensary. However, incharge failed to give satisfactory answer.
Provincial minister also directed to remove all the banners and political pamphlets of political party from the offices of SESSI and Dispensary saying that caretaker government is impartial. During his to Kalsoom Bai Valika Hospital, he visited OPD, Emergency, OTs’, medical ward, Peads, nursing school and expressed dissatisfaction on the facilities and cleanliness of the hospital. He directed to improve the condition and cleanliness and proper lighting facilities be arranged.
He observed that condition of this health care facility gave impression that machinery and equipments in OTs’ were never exchanged since its establishment of 1976. He said that though his tenure was short but he would try best to improve the condition of institution.
He warned the officials to improve the condition of institutions to facilitate citizens particularly labours. He will pay surprise visits after Eid and check himself whether his instruction were taken seriously. On the occasion, attendants of Patients and students of nursing school complained the shortage of water in hospital. Provincial minister ordered SESSI vice commissioner to solve water issue and water tankers should be arranged immediately.
