Minister: (Punjab received first batch of 70,000 doses of Coronavirus vaccine)

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that Punjab has received the first batch of seventy thousand doses of Coronavirus vaccine.   Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Monday, she said that the process of administration of Coronavirus vaccine will be started from Wednesday.   The Health Minister said that the coronavirus vaccine will be administered to frontline health workers in phase one. She said that this will be followed by vaccination for the elderly over 65 years of age.   Dr Yasmin Rashid said that one hundred and eighty nine vaccination centers have been established in Punjab for this purpose.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved solarization of tube wells located in Balochistan province to facilitate the farmers and growers.   The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan here on Monday. The Prime Minister directed the Power Division and the provincial government to prepare a comprehensive plan for the execution of solarization project within the given timelines.   The project will not only ensure uninterrupted power supply to the farmers but also help address the issue of losses in the power sector. ISLAMABAD: The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) has organized the first of a series of workshops entitled, “Collaboration for Excellence - A Roundtable on Developing Linkages for Faculty Development in Higher Education”. The series of these workshops is one of multiple ongoing NAHE endeavours to facilitate capacity building of faculty in HEIs.   The representatives of 17 faculty development units and departments of higher education institutions from all provinces, ICT and Gilgit-Baltistan attended the workshop. Missing Person’s case: SHC orders police, Leas to use modern devices to trace missing men

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued notices to Sindh Home Department, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, and Director General (DG) Rangers on petitions seeking recovery of an eight missing persons including three brothers.   A SHC bench heard petitions filed by families of missing persons, including three brothers, Waqas Ayoob, Abbas Ayoob, and Tahir Ayoob.
