65 criminal gangs busted in Larkana Range in 2017

LARKANA: As many as 65 criminal gangs have been busted throughout Larkana Ranger during from January 1 to 31 December 2017, said Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police , Larkana Range, Abdullah Shaikh, here on Sunday. The DIG further disclosed that eight criminals were killed during 496 encounters that took place in the entire Larkana division in the same period and 97 offenders of law were arrested in injured condition. "The killed criminals also include those who were carrying head money of the Sindh government. Larkana Range police arrested 6950 proclaimed offenders, 8651 absconders and other gangsters during last one year of 2017. Three children die of measles spread

DALBANDIN: Another three children died of measles as disease was spreading in Chagai. Earlier three people have died of the disease in Chagai. According to details measles spread has been causing deaths in area of Chagai and several villages were hit by the disease. District Health Officer Bashir Ahmed said that anti measles vaccination was being made in Dalbandin, Basulani, Chagai, Posti and Brabcha. He aid our team reached the affected areas but people refrained from vaccination to their children and the disease has spread. Farmers continue mammoth sit-in on National Highway

GAMBAT: Over one thousand farmers continued a mammoth sit-in on National Highway in Gambat on second consecutive day on Sunday in protest against the low price of sugarcane being given by the sugar mills in Sindh and delay in payments of last year’s sugarcane dues. The sit-in caused 12-kilometer-long traffic jam on both sides of the National Highway as a result, thousands of vehicles, including coaches, buses, wagons, trucks, trailer-trucks and cars stuck up. Armed men kill a man

SIBI: Armed men shot dead a man while body of infant was found in Saddar Thana area here Sunday. According to details armed men opened fire in Bakra Mandi area of Cith thana and killed Muhammad Khan. ON information police cordoned the area and shifted dead body to civil hospital for formality. No arrest was reported. In the meanwhile body of a newly born baby was found near the nullah along Sibi By Pass today. It was shifted to hospital and after formality it was buried in local graveyard. Three acres sugarcane crop burnt to ashes near Naundero

NAUNDERO: Standing sugarcane crop on three acres was burnt in village Rahooja near here on Sunday as a live 11000 KV electricity line fell on it and caused fire. The landlords Ayaz Ali and Aijaz Abro told reporters that they, several times, approached the Sepco Naundero and Larkana authorities to replace outdated high tension cables and informed them that it might cause any damage, but they kept them on false commitments and failed to remove outdated lines. They said that since last 25 years, no repair work was carried out and all the cables were still in dangerous condition.
