ISLAMABAD:  Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja has expressed confidence that information provided to the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding law and order situation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will enable it to ensure peaceful and transparent elections in the two provinces. He said this while chairing a meeting here in Islamabad on Friday to discuss law and order situation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ahead of the upcoming elections.

 

The meeting attended by the members of the Election Commission, representatives of law enforcement agencies and sensitive institutions was briefed in detail on the current security situation in the two provinces. The participants were provided valuable insights to make informed decisions regarding the conduct of the upcoming polls.
