Chaman traders protest against border closure

Quetta:Traders and political parties took out protest rally in Chaman against the closure of Pak-Afghan border and staged a protest sit-in outside the office of Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah.

Pak-Afghan border at Chaman, which had been closed some six months ago due to the threat posed by novel coronavirus, has not yet been opened. Local traders and different political parties have been observing protests and sit-ins against the closure of Pak-Afghan border for the last two months.

Separately, civil society staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club here against the murder of social media activist Anwar Khetran, who had been killed by unidentified armed men in District Barkhan of the province a couple of days ago. Chanting slogans, protesters demanded to arrest assailants involved in the murder of Anwar Khetran.
