Champions has strangled democracy, says JUI-F leader

CHAMAN: Central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Ex-Senator Hafiz Hamdullah, has said that power was dear to some political parties instead of democracy, adding that champions of democracy had strangled democracy.

These views were expressed by him while addressing Dastar-e-Fazeelat Conference held at Jamia Qasim-ul-Uloom in Chaman here on Tuesday. Raising voice for slogan “Vote ko ezat du” “Give respect to vote” had disrespected votes, he said, adding that imposing faces on people contrary to the opinions of people was injustice with the country and nation.

He said that the present parliament was not the representative parliament of the people, adding that it was becoming crime in the country to raise voice for the supremacy of constitution and strengthening democracy.
