Karachi, February 08, 2018 (PPI-OT): In compliance with the directives of Secretary Transport / Chairman Provincial Transport Authority, Sindh, joint team of the Secretaries of Provincial and Regional Transport Authority, Karachi with the assistance of Traffic Police, conducted snap Traffic checking regarding Charging excess fare from the travelling public.
According to the details on 2.2.2018 a team comprising of Secretaries PTA and RTA and other officials conducted checking regarding charging excess fare from the travelling public, MCR operating without fare meter at Taj Complex and Cantt Station, Karachi. During the checking as many as 33 vehicles were checked, 19 owners/ drivers warned, out of which 14 vehicles were challaned. An amount of Rs.1200/- has been returned to passengers while an amount of Rs.9,000/- imposed as fine.
