Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar presides an important law and order meeting

Lahore, September 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar presides an important law and order meeting at Punjab Safe Cities authority here on Wednesday. CM Punjab observed the Operations of various sections of the IC3 including those dealing in CCTV monitoring and surveillance. During the discourse, the CM spoke very highly of the PSCA as a whole terming the endeavour a need of time and an integrated marvel of technologies and resources taking urban policing to next level. The good work must continue, he said while sanctioning similar projects for Sahiwal and DG Khan.

He also instructed immediate release of funds for its counterpart project for Rawalpindi and announced that PSCA’s ambit would encompass all Divisional Headquarters of Punjab. Such projects are both inevitable and integral to modern policing, he remarked while contributing improved overall performance of various offices to the mechanism of mapping and real-time monitoring by geo-strategic network of multi-calibrated cameras.

The meeting was also attended by Provincial Minister of Law Raja Basharat, Chief Secretary and IG Punjab along with representatives of relevant institutions. The Chair and the stakeholders were briefed by MD PSCA Malik Ali Amir and COO PSCA Akbar Nasir Khan on scopes and impact of the authority and its Premier IC3 project vis-a-vis integrated metropolitan security.

At this moment COO PSCA Akbar Nasir Khan shared with the participants that projects had already been approved for 7 DHQs namely Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Bahawalpur. Survey teams to probe preliminary project feasibility and installations will depart for Sahiwal and DG Khan in next two days, he announced. The session concluded with presentation of souvenir shields to the CM and the entourage by PSCA top-command.
