Chief Secretary Sindh calls on UNFAO delegates

Karachi, October 08, 2018 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has said that the Country Development Programme of UNFAO (United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization) is appreciable and through more discussions the future line of action shall be settled for cooperative offer by UNFAO to the Sindh Government.

He was exchanging his views with the UNFAO Delegation, met him (C.S.), led by UNFAO Country Leader Ms. Mina Dowlatchahi, on Monday in Sindh Secretariat. The UNFAO team briefed various aspects of cooperation including Water Management, Eradication of Drought, Improvement of Live Stock and Fisheries Sector, and Capacity Development of Irrigation System. The team leader appreciated the C.S. views on offer of UNFAO cooperation, she also congratulated Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah on assuming his office as Chief Secretary Sindh.

Secretaries Suhail Akbar Shah (Live Stock and Forest) Mukhtiar Soomro (Environment), Dr. Sheerin Narijo (Planning) Dr. Nawaz Shaikh (Food) Akhtar Bugti (Rehabilitation) and Special Secretary Agriculture Aslam Ansari were also present.
