Chief Secretary Sindh directs Secretaries of School Education, Finance and Health Department to gear up efforts for development of Thar more efficiently

Karachi, July 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has directed the Secretaries of School Education, Finance and Health Department to gear up the efforts for development of Thar more efficiently. He stressed the need to ensure systematic service delivery system aimed at prosperity of Thar people. According to details; The Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah presided over a meeting to review the status of Civil Hospital Mithi at Thar and directed the secretary health to float a proposal for the removal of Medical Superintendent Mithi with a view to improvise the management, thereof.

He also asked the Secretary Health to submit a mechanized management plan for Government Hospital Mithi. The Chief Secretary constituted a committee headed by Commissioner Mirpurkhas Abdul Waheed Sheikh for preparing a Thar Health Package. The CS directed the committee to prepare a health plan covering the salient features of 100% availability of manpower/HR, proper use of Ambulances, Provision of free medicines, betterment of Laboratory Service and provision of sufficient budget to the hospitals of Tharparkar.

Secretary School Education Qazi Shahid Parvez and Secretary Health Sindh Saeed Ahmed Awan have briefed the meeting about health and education facilities of the Tharparkar. The Chief Secretary Sindh also directed the secretary schools to present the strategic education plan for smooth functioning of Schools and Colleges at Tharparkar.

Chairperson Planning and Development Board Sindh emphasized upon the Accountability of the doctors and medical staff of Civil Hospital Mithi. The Meeting was attended by the Senior Member Board of the Revenue Shamsuddin Soomro, Secretary Schools Education Qazi Shahid Parvez, Secretary Finance Najam Shah, Secretary Health Saeed Awan, Commissioner Mirpurkhas Abdul Waheed Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner Mithi and others have also attended the Meeting.
