Chief Secretary visits Treatment Plant No.3, Maripur Sea would be save from pollution

Karachi, July 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): Clean water supply and sewerage system must be made better in Karachi, no negligence will be tolerable in this regard, as well there could be no compromise in saving the sea from pollution, through treatment plant no.3, of S-III project. Chief Secretary Sindh Maj. Rtd. Azam Suleman Khan said this, while visiting the said treatment plant on Friday.

He categorically noted that the work on the treatment plant under reference located in Maripur should be completed expeditiously with any delay or disturbance, “I will revisit the plant within a couple of day”, he added. Coordinator for water commission Syed Asif Hyder Shah, Secretary Local Government Khalid Hyder Shah and M.D. KW and SB Khalid Shaikh briefed him about the plant.

In first phase the 77 MGD (seventy-seven million gallon water daily) and second phase 180 MGD shall be treated i.e. be made free from pollution. The Chief Secretary stressed the need to speedup the work on the plot for earliest completion and expressed good expectation, in this connection.
