China agrees to cooperate with Pakistan in aviation sector

Islamabad, March 26, 2018 (PPI-OT):China has agreed to cooperate with Pakistan in aviation sector particularly for the betterment of Pakistan International Airlines. The consensus on the collaboration was reached at a meeting between Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing and Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan during a meeting in Islamabad. It was mutually decided to extend the cooperation for the development of airport projects and enhancement of air travel facilities in view of phenomenal growth of business opportunities between the two countries.

Sardar Mehtab Ahmed appreciated the Chinese cooperation for the construction and development of Gwadar Airport project. Both sides also discussed technical cooperation in the field of aviation particularly development of new maintenance, repair and overhaul facility to provide aircraftmaintenance and engineering services to Pakistani and regional airlines.Advisor to Prime Minister also sought cooperation of china for upgrading of early warning system to improve weather forecasting system. Chinese Ambassador assured to collaborate in aviation sector particularly for the betterment of different departments of PIA.
