KARACHI: Seven MoUs on renewable energy, education and coastal tourism were signed between China Overseas Port Holding Company and Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) alongside the First Edition of Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference held at Karachi Expo Centre.

According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, China Overseas Port Holding Company and Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) concluded seven Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) on renewable energy, education and coastal tourism alongside the First Edition of Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference held at Karachi Expo Centre.

Detailed report regarding opportunities in Gwadar Free Zone and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was presented in the Expo. Special pavilion of Balochistan, aimed at promoting investment in maritime sector of the province, remained prominent in the international event.

A delegation of Gwadar University also attended the First Edition of Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference held at Karachi Expo Centre. A unique stall set up by a young businessman of Gwadar Musa to promote seafood attracted the attention of many visitors in the Expo.
