Cholera outbreak out of control in Dera Bugti

DERA BUGHTI:The outbreak of cholera endemic could not be contained in district Dera Bughti of Balochistan province. One patient of cholera disease died on Sunday, rising the death toll to eight.

According to a report, cholera disease took the life of one another person in Pirkoh area of district Dera Bughti. It is reported that 51 more cases of cholera disease were reported, rising the figure of affected persons to 52.

Talking to media, including PPI, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department said that measures were being adopted to control the outbreak of cholera disease, adding that supply of pure drinking water was being ensured to the residents of Pir Koh, adding that special teams of doctor were providing healthcare facilities to the patients in the affected areas.

Separately, Farah Azeem Shah, while addressing a press conference at Chief Minister’s Secretariat, said that the issue of providing pure drinking water to the residents of Dera Bughti would be resolved permanently.
