QUETTA:Citizens foiled a bid to kidnap a minor girl here on Saturday. The kidnapper was captured red-handed, tortured and later handed over to police for kidnapping the girl.
According to police, the incident occurred on Gordat Singh Road where dwellers of the area foiled the bid to kidnap granddaughter of noted religious scholar and Khateen Jamia Masjid Safeer Qari Abdul Rehman.
Accused Amin was trying to kidnap the girl when citizens caught him red-handed. The accused was tortured by the citizens and later handed over to the police station Gwalmandi. The police shifted accused to the Prison Ward of Sandeman Provincial Hospital after lodging an FIR against him. Further investigation was underway.
