Citizens’ proactive role urged in fight against coronavirus

April 11, 2020

LAHORE:Deputy chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, on Saturday, visited the corona relief centers set up by the JI and the Al-Khidmat Foundation in the city to monitor the performance of the volunteers and JI workers.

Talking to the media on the occasion, he said that a complete national unity and harmony was required to meet the challenge posed by the deadly virus. He said that the magnitude of the calamity made it necessary that each and every citizen, especially the youth, played their role in providing help to the brethren in distress.

Liaqat Baloch deplored that Prime Minister Imran Khan was not ready to take the opposition and the parliament along for meeting the situation created by the virus and the relief arrangements were inadequate. He hoped that the suo moto notice taken by the Chief Justice in this issue would greatly help improve the situation.

The JI deputy chief said it was a happy sign that the JI and the Al-Khidmat Foundation despite their limited resources, were providing every possible help to the people facing difficulties due to the lock down.
