Karachi: Justice Helpline (JHL) President and the member of board of governors Karachi Public Transport Society (KPTS) Nadeem Shaikh has said that a meeting of the KPTS is summoned on September 15 to discuss the issues of public transport of the megacity.

A detailed briefing would be given on the commuting system of the megacity and some new schemes would be introduced to improve public transport system. In the meeting the business of rent-a-car would also be given a legal shape. Talking to media, Nadeem Shaikh Advocate said that better commuting facilities is the right of Karachiites.

He expressed concern over growing road accidents and hoped that when people would get better public transport, rush on roads would be reduced and traffic accidents could also be decreased. He thanked Sindh chief secretary Mumtaz Ali Shah and transport secretary Shariq Ahmed for their role in improving public transport system of the megacity.
