Clashes leave 5 officials, civilians injured during protest in poonch 

Jammu, September 21, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, at least five persons including a Tehsildar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, his personal security officer and two civilians were injured in clashes during a protest in Poonch district. According to Kashmir Media Service, the clashes erupted after a group of protesters clashed with police on Mughal road near Surankote, officials said. The protesters were demanding amenities in the locality.

A police party visited the spot to persuade the people to end the protest. The protesters clashed with the police during which DSP Surankote Abdul Khaliq, his PSO and two civilians’ sustained injuries. Later, Tehsildar Surankote Sheraz Ahmad visited the spot to take an on ground assessment. The revenue officer however also came under attack during which he was injured, the officials added.
