CM KP took notice of load shedding in the province

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan on Tuesday took notice of unannounced power outages in some parts of the province, especially at examination centers, and called a meeting of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PESCO and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) TESCO.

The Chief Minister directed the top officials of PESCO and TESCO to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity in the examination centers in all respects during the ongoing annual Matriculation and Intermediate examinations in the province. He said interruption is not acceptable.

The Chief Minister further directed the authorities to use all available resources to minimize the load shedding in the urban areas during the summer season and to provide maximum relief to the people. He stressed on the need for timely completion of ongoing projects for improvement of power infrastructure in the province to overcome the problem of power load shedding on a permanent basis and directed the concerned authorities to take concrete steps in this regard. The provincial government will ensure the provision of financial resources for the timely completion of these projects.
