CM, MPAs celebrate Buppi’s unopposed election as Senator

 

LAHORE: A ceremony was held in honour of PTI’s unopposed-elected Senator from Punjab Aun Abbas Buppi, here at a local hotel Saturday.

 

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar especially attended the function. Provincial ministers and other assembly members were also present on this occasion. The Chief Minister congratulated Buppi for his unopposed election as Senator.

 

Buzdar said that through a successful strategy in Punjab, senators had been elected unopposed adding that PTI would emerge as a leading party in the senate. He said that opposition had always promoted the politics of horse-trading.

 

He further maintained that the whole nation lauded the steps being taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan for ensuing and upholding of transparency. He said that all corrupt elements were on the one side whereas honest leadership of PTI was on the other side.

 

He said: The opposition has used every negative tactics but failed. Opposition’s double standards politics cannot hoodwink the people.” He said that the government is making all-out efforts for the welfare of the people as during the last two and a half years the same has focused on public service. Elected representatives congratulated Buzdar on laying the foundation stone of the Lahore Central Business District project.
