LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday directed the provincial divisional commissioners (DCs) as well as the regional police officers (RPOs) to monitor the free provision of flour to deserving people during the holy month of Ramadan. Chairing the meeting of DCs and RPOs in Lahore, he said that the Punjab government had introduced a special package to provide relief to the people during the holy month, and it was the government officials’ duty to ensure that there was a complete implementation on that package.

The chief minister said that the Punjab government would support and encourage hardworking and honest government officials as well as other staffers. He also directed that one-dish menu and timings should strictly be adhered to at wedding functions. Similarly, he ordered a crackdown on the manufacturers as well as sellers of spurious pesticides.

CM Naqvi directed the government servants to observe office timings. He also directed the DCs and RPOs to visit orphanages. He also gave instructions to the concerned officials to make payments to the sugarcane farmers as early as possible.
