QUETTA:Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Minister Balochistan, while taking notice of a video went viral on social media in which a child is being tortured by the police officials of Police Station Pushtunabad, Quetta, has sought report from Inspector General of Police, Balochistan, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Friday.
Directing the concerned authorities for initiating immediate disciplinary proceedings against the responsible officials of Police Station, Pushtunabad, Quetta, Bizenjo said that police did not have the authority to torture any accused, adding that such behaviour widened gulf between the people and police. He said that police would have to change its behaviour in order to restore the confidence of the people.
