BANNU: Commissioner Bannu Division Arshad Khan on Wednesday paid a detailed visit to Bannu Township Bannu managed by Bannu Development Authority and got acquainted with the problems of Township residents.

Project Director Bannu Development Authority Shabbir Khan, other concerned officials and a large number of township residents were present on the occasion. The Commissioner said that the provincial government has sanctioned a huge amount of Rs35 crore for Bannu Development Authority which will make Bannu Township a modern and beautiful township.

He said necessary action is being taken to involve technical staff of Communication and Works Department in the process. Similarly, construction work on plots allotted for schools and hospitals will also be started soon, he said adding that steps will also be taken for installation of separate WAPDA feeder for Bannu township and completion of boundary wall.

He said in order to achieve this goal, he would personally hold special meetings with the secretaries of the Local Government and Education Departments so that the big and long standing projects of Bannu Township could be completed. On this occasion, in a meeting with a large number of residents of Bannu Development Authority Township, he listened to their basic problems and issued orders on the spot to solve the solvable problems.

Commissioner Bannu Division also directed Project Director Bannu Development Authority Shabbir Khan to take immediate steps to resolve the problems of the residents of Bannu Development Authority Township as per his powers and ensure the provision of facilities. The Commissioner further directed that the employees of Bannu Development Authority should ensure their attendance and improve the sanitation situation in the town.
