Commissioner SESSI visits Landhi SESSI Kidney Centre; Under PPP would be further improved and functional

Karachi, January 22, 2018 (PPI-OT):Commissioner SESSI Dr. Nasimul Ghani Sahto today visited the Landhi SESSI Kidney Centre. MS Dr. Shah Muhammad Noonari welcomed him and apprised about the working and progress of the kidney centre. Commissioner SESSI visited around the various parts of the centre included operation theatre, Dialysis, lithotripsy, laboratory, pharmacy, residential blocks, canteen and other parts of the kidney centre.

On the occasion a simple presentation addressing that the institution is state of art is established to cater the needs and provided the health facilities to the secured workers of SESSI with modern facilities through latest machinery and equipment on priority.

Poor patients workers are being treated like SIUT which run by Dr Adeebul Hasan Rizvi a tall personality in the philanthropists field but it is the Government owned and purely for the workers community would be further improved and operational and functional through public private partnership by removing all departmental hurdles and extend full support and help to the centre.

He assured that all such institutes under SESSI would be rehabilitated and made functional purely for poor and needy workers as well as peoples. In this regard all out efforts and initiatives would be taken for maximum provision of basic facilities and requirements he added.

Earlier Medical Superintendent Dr Shah Muhammad Noonari briefed the Commissioner SESSI. that since taken over in 2008 and starting facilities of treatment within two years 2016 and 2017 more than 4 time more patients of dialysis, lithotripsy and others are benefited at the number of 11074 patients.

He further informed that various positive steps have been taken for the more medical treatment and facilities to the surrounding area of Malir, Landhi and coastal belt area patient workers are being facilitated like SIUT and it will be suitable for all workers of SESSI and beneficiary of the people of Sindh especially and people of country as whole. DMS Dr. Ali Akbar Palijo and other para medics staff attended the briefing.

Later the Commissioner SESSI Dr Nasimul Ghani Sahto also visited the Landhi SESSI hospital and inspected the various parts of the hospital and asked the patients about their treatment facilities provided by the SESSI. Medical Superintendent Dr Jawed Rajput and DMS Dr. Iqbal Memon briefed him about progress and facilities.
