Complete shutdown on Burhan’s anniversary in IOK tomorrow

Srinagar, July 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of posters and banners reading ‘March Towards Tral’ have been displayed in every nook and corner of the valley in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of popular youth commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, to be observed tomorrow. Burhan Wani, a resident of Tral, was martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on July 08, 2016.

The posters and banners on behalf of ‘Warseen-e-Shuhada’ (relatives of martyrs) have been displayed at all important places including highways and streets in Central, South and North Kashmir areas. Through these posters, the relatives of the martyrs have urged people to march towards Tral, the hometown of the martyred commander, tomorrow, to pay tributes to Burhan Wani, his associates and other martyrs of 2016 uprising.

The posters mostly surfaced in Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Kulgam and Islamabad areas also appealed to the people to observe complete shutdown tomorrow. Two youth were arrested by Indian police on the charge of posting posters in Batamaloo, Srinagar. It is worth mentioning here that the Joint Resistance Leadership has already called for shutdown in the territory to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani and other martyrs.
