Concern shown over flour supply to Balochistan, KP

QUETTA: Abdul Wahid Bareach, Chairman, Pakistan Flour Mills Association, Balochistan region, has expressed concern over the ban on supply of flour to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that banning the supply of flour to KP and Balochistan was not only affecting demand and supply of flour but would also result in increasing its prices.

He added that in the meeting held with Prime Minister Imran, the authorities of Ministry of Food were of the opinion that no ban had been imposed on the supply of flour from one province to other.

He said that imposing ban on the supply of flour from Sindh and Punjab to Balochistan and KP showed discrimination, adding that the said act was tantamount to deliberately paralyzing the flour mill industries of both the provinces. He urged authorities to lift ban on the flour supply.
