Condolence Reference: (Condolence reference in memory of Radio Pakistan’s two officials held at PBC Headquarters)

ISLAMABAD:A condolence reference in memory of two professionals of Radio Pakistan who died of Coronavirus on Thursday was held here at the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) headquarters on Friday.

Glowing tributes were paid to the services of Muhammad Ashfaq, Senior Broadcast Engineer and Huma Zafar, an Urdu Newscaster for the organization. Secretary Information Akbar Hussain Durrani, in his remarks, assured to provide maximum support within the available resources to the bereaved families at this difficult hour. He said the organization will also provide free medical treatment and extend full support to the employees tested positive for COVID-19.

He said one should not be scared of the pandemic but take all the precautionary measures for their own safety as well as their near and dear ones. Hailing the services of the late employees, Director General Radio Pakistan Ambreen Jan said they continued to serve the organization till the last day. She said their demise is a loss not only to the families but the entire organization.

Special prayer was offered for the two departed souls, other victims of COVID-19 and those martyred recently in a plane crash in Karachi. God Almighty blessings were also sought to rid the country and the world from this pandemic. The ceremony was also attended by Press Information Officer Shahera Shahid, Directors and other staff of Radio Pakistan.
