Coronavirus claims 161 healthcare professionals lives in Pakistan so far

KARACHI: At least 161 healthcare professionals have been died due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the Pakistan so far, out of which 135 were doctors and 26 were nurses and paramedical staff.

As per statistics issued by Pakistan Medical Association (PMA-Centre) told PPI that, a total 161 healthcare workers have lost their lives in war against coronavirus throughout the country till 08 December out of which 135 were doctors and 26 were others.

PMA report further COVID-19 has claimed 58 doctors lives in Punjab, 42 in Sindh, 26 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five in Balochistan, three in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and one in Gilgit -Baltistan, respectively.

The statistics said that nine paramedical staff, seven nurses, three pharmacists, a supervisor class IV, head waiter, ambulance driver, accountant and three others died of COVID-19 so far in the country.
