Coronavirus-hit people’s toll in TMK rises to 21

Tando Mohammad Khan:With confirmation of two more coronavirus infection cases, the number of the virus infected people in Tando Mohammad Khan city has risen to 21, said DHO Tando Mohammad Khan Dr Yousuf on Saturday.

He said that all 21 coronavirus infected people were in Isolation Ward. He further said that the son of a former DHO had also been infected by the virus, who was quarantined at the isolation ward of the hospital. Meanwhile, a lockdown was observed in Tando Mohammad Khan city today to comply with the orders of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Police conducted patrolling in all areas of the city to ensure lockdown.

However, many citizens were seen violating the lockdown at many public places. Bazaars and markets were closed in the city, however, retail shops were opened to provide daily use items to the citizens. A low number of vehicles were seen plying the roads for necessary works. The hospitals and medical stores, however, remained open to cater to the needs to patients. The laborers community has badly been affected by the lockdown.
