ISLAMABAD:Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said that the country’s economy is moving forward regardless of COVID-19 due to excellent policies of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a tweet on Tuesday, he said the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected tax of 3799 billion rupees in the first eight months of current fiscal year which is thirty percent more than the corresponding period of the previous financial year. He pointed out the total tax collection in the last year of PML-N government was 3800 billion rupees.

Meanwhile, Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has said that promoting interfaith harmony is one of the priorities of the present government. Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, he said Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby during his visit to Pakistan was also appreciative of the steps taken by the government in this regard. He said the Archbishop also inaugurated two peace centers in Lahore and Peshawar.
