ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Lahore Tuesday adjourned the plea against freezing the assets of the family of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif till April 27.
The court sought further arguments from the lawyers of Shehbaz Sharif’s family. The petition had been filed by Hamza Shehbaz and Nusrat Shehbaz. Accountability Court Duty Judge Zubair Shahzad Kayani heard the plea.
The order of a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court to freeze the assets had been challenged by the family of Shehbaz Sharif. The NAB court had ordered to freeze the assets of Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz, Nusrat Shehbaz and Tehmina Durrani. “The NAB court’s order to freeze the assets is not correct. The accountability court should nullify it,” the petition pleaded.
