CPEC should be treated as catalyst for Pak’s internal economic development: Masood

Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan says China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has brought Kashmir dispute back on the world stage given India’s hostility to the project.

He was addressing International Conference on “Conflict and Cooperation in South Asia: Role of Major Powers” in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The AJK President said CPEC should be treated as a catalyst and not as a substitute for Pakistan’s internal economic development.

Sharing the situation in occupied Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan said India has abandoned all principles of proportionality and precaution and the distinction between combatants and non-combatants is being flagrantly violated.

He cautioned that till the general elections in India, no peace overtures are likely to be considered.
