Islamabad Police on Thursday claimed to have apprehended 17 accused, including six fugitives, as part of a comprehensive operation to curb criminal activities in the capital. The concerted effort, spearheaded by teams from Kohsar, Karachi Company, Shalimar, Humak, Shahzad Town, and Bani Gala police stations, led to the capture of 11 suspects involved in various illicit acts. Authorities successfully recovered 2,260 grams of heroin, 70 bottles of wine, and seven pistols with ammunition from the detainees. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and further inquiries are underway.

In addition to these arrests, a targeted campaign focused on locating and detaining proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the capture of six criminals. This campaign reflects the unwavering resolve of the Islamabad Police under the leadership of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The ongoing crackdown aims to maintain peace and ensure public safety in the federal capital.
