Karachi:Pakistan Cricket Club, lead by former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed, moved into the semifinals of the All Karachi Prof. Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament after beating Alnoor Gymkhana by eight wickets at KCCA Stadium.
Alnoor Gymkhana batted first in the quarterfinal encounter and was bundled out for a paltry total of 79 in 27.3 overs. Mohammad Salman bowled lethally and picked four wickets.
Pakistan CC in response reached the target in 12 overs. Opener Ammad Alam (48 not out) and Usman Khan (33 runs) batted well for the side.
Semifinals will be played on 8 September. Pakistan CC will face Alamgir Gymkhana at KCCA Stadium while Dawood Sports will take on Bilal Friends at TMC Ground.
