Criminals rule the roost in Sialkot

SIALKOT: The dacoits, robbers and criminals remained on rampage and they shot injured a police constable and a private security, besides looting gold ornaments, cash, electronics, cash and other valuables worth millions of rupees in several more strikes in the district.

Reportedly, a police constable Muhammad Saffyan was shot injured by dacoits by three unknown armed dacoits at a Daaku Naaka along Chawinda-Pasrur Road here in the wee hour the other day.

Reportedly some policemen were going back to home after performing their duties. When, they reached their on motorcycles, the dacoits opened fire, injuring seriously the said constable. However, the accused fled away after the retaliation by the other policemen.

The injured police constable Muhammad Saffyan was admitted at Pasrur THQ Civil Hospital in critical condition.

In Uggoki, two unknown armed dacoits injured seriously local bakery shop’s private security guard Muhammad Ashraf with repeated attacks upon resistance during a dacoity incident. The dacoits snatched Rs. 35,000 in cash from cashier Bashir Ahmed and snatched the pump action from the injured guard and fled away.

In village Bhoth (in outskirts of the Sialkot Cantt), some unknown thieves took away car (IDL-2646) of Younus Maseeh. In Chah Jattan Sialkot, some unknown thieves broke into a general store of Usman Haider and decamped with the cash and valuables worth lakhs of rupees from there.

In Kotli Loharaan-West, three armed accused snatched gold ornaments and mobile phone (worth of Rs. 120,000) at gunpoint from Tabassum Iqbal Bibi. In village Nagor-Motra, Daska tehsil, four unknown armed dacoits looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables (worth of Rs. 0.3 million) during a main dacoity incident from the house of local landlord Muhammad Arif and fled away. Police have registered separate cases with no arrest or recovery.
