QUETTA: Field Enforcement Unit, Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claimed to have seized non-customs-paid vehicles and large quantity of foreign goods in different operations conducted in different areas of the province besides recovering foreign goods in a raid conducted at a warehouse in Hazar Ganji area of Quetta.

According to a statement issued by the Spokesperson for Collectorate of Customs Balochistan on Saturday, staff of Field Enforcement Unit seized large number of non-customs-paid vehicles in different operations conducted in different areas of Quetta. Value of the seized non-customs-paid vehicle was reported to be Rs. Four (04) crore.

Similarly, mobile squads of Field Enforcement Unit recovered foreign goods, including foreign clothes, betel nuts and Chinese milk, in a raid conducted at a warehouse in Hazar Ganji area of Quetta. Separately, 9000 kilogram Betel nut was recovered from the hidden cavities of Hino Bus in an operation conducted at Lakpass area of the province.

Moreover, Field Enforcement Unit seized 2400 kilogram betel nut from a Datsun in an operation conducted in Dalbandin area of district Chagae besides seizing two tractors which were to be smuggled to Afghanistan. In another operation conducted at Ziarat cross area of district Ziarat.

Field Enforcement Unit, Customs Ziarat seized betel nuts, dry milk, plastic shoppers, gotka, blankets and two non-customs-paid vehicles while Field Enforcement Unit, Customs, Yaru seized laptops, cigarettes and non-customs-paid vehicles in different operations conducted at Quetta-Chaman national highway near Yaru area of district Pishin. Value of the foreign goods and non-customs-paid vehicle seized in different operations was reported to be Rs. 130 million.
