Jammu, July 25, 2023 (PPI-OT): In total negation of the tall claim put forth by the Modi regime while abrogating the Jammu and Kashmir’s special status would vistas of opportunities for Kashmiris, as a part of their 72-hour strike, the daily wagers of Power Development Department held a strong protest demonstration near Panama Chowk in Jammu. The protesters were demanding release of their pending salaries and regularisation.
The workers assembled near Panama Chowk office of the PDD on Railway Road Jammu and staged a protest sit-in. They said that they were performing their duty without any salary and department was not paying any attention towards them as they are doing all the works in the department assigned to them by putting their life at risk. The protesting employees demanded that government must come out with a clear policy regarding their regularisation.
