DC announces complete lockdown in parts of Larkana district from June 20

LARKANA:Deputy Commissioner Larkana Muhammad Noman Siddique on Thursday announced to imposed a complete lockdown within the municipal limits of Larkana, Municipal Committee Naudero and Ratodero for a period of 10 days with effect from 20 June 12:00 am to 29th June 2020, 12:00 pm to prevent the rising spread of coronavirus in these areas.

According to lockdown order, during lockdown all entry and exit points of municipal limits of Taluka Larkana and Ratodero, District Larkana are scaled and no person or vehicle is allowed, except those who are supplying essential commodities in the district. All types of gatherings within municipal limits of Taluka Larkana and Ratodero, District Larkana are strictly prohibited.

All shops and markets, including hotels, restaurants and tea shops, shall remain closed during the lockdown within Taluka Larkana and Ratodero, District Larkana. Congregation of prayers in mosque/churches shall be restricted and shall not exceed five persons.

Local intercity transport such as motorcycles, bike rickshaws, cars, Suzukies and other vehicles are not allowed to move during the lockdown, except the vehicles carrying patients to the hospitals or in emergency cases, according to SOPs of Home Department, Sindh.

Exemption from lockdown: The businesses shops, who deal with essential services viz, pharmacies, pathology laboratories, blood banks, groceries, utility stores, milk shops, dairy products, drinking water supply, petrol pumps and edible items such as meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, tandoors, bakeries shall remain open subject to the implementation of SOPs (wearing the mask and social distancing) with effect from 07:00 am to 07:00 pm during the lockdown.

That the business related to the agriculture sector such as pesticide, fertilizer, agriculture tools, etc. will also remain open subject to the implementation of SOPs (wearing masks and social distancing) with effect from 07:00 am to 07:00 pm during the lockdown.
