Gold prices saw a decrease on Wednesday, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association. The price of one tola of 24-karat gold dropped by 2,245 rupees, stabilizing at 359,055 rupees. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by 1,925 rupees to 307,831 rupees. This decrease reflects a $20 drop in the global gold market, which is now at $3,378 per ounce.
Investors and economic analysts are keeping an eye on these downward trends, as gold is traditionally considered a stable asset during times of financial instability. The current decline may indicate a change in investor sentiment or broader economic conditions. The decrease also affected 22-karat gold, whose price fell by 1,765 rupees to 282,188 rupees per 10 grams.
On the other hand, silver prices saw a slight increase. In the local market, the price of one tola of 24-karat silver rose by 22 rupees to 3,878 rupees. The price for 10 grams of 24-karat silver increased by 19 rupees to 3,324 rupees. Internationally, silver prices also experienced a minor rise of $0.22, now trading at $37.20.
