Demo held against Balochistan Public Service Commission

QUETTA:Candidates for the posts of Medical Officer, Lady Medical Officers and representatives of Young Doctors Association demanded of the authorities to remove deficiencies in the test prescribed by Balochistan Public Service Commission for appointment to the posts of Lady Medical Officer and Medical Officer.

 

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Saturday, Dr Mirwaiz said that grave irregularities were noticed during written test conducted recently by BPSC for appointment against the vacant slots of Lady Medical Officer and Medical Officer. Dr Wakeel, Dr. Hamayun, Dr Fara and others were also present.

 

Mirwaiz added mistakes present in MCQs were brought into the notice of invigilators deputed for conducting test of the mentioned posts, but no heed was paid. He remarked that after the test, the matter was brought into the notice of Chairman, Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC), Secretary and other members of BPSC in black and white, but no action had so far been taken.

 

He said instead of appointing LMO and MO in Health Department on contract basis, vacant posts be filled on permanent basis through Balochistan Public Service Commission. He added Young Doctor Association had categorically rejected the idea of appointing Lady Medical Officer and Medical Officer in Health Department on contract basis.

 

He demanded of the authorities to remove deficiencies in the test prescribed by Balochistan Public Service Commission for appointment in Health Department against the posts of Lady Medical Officer, Medical Officer and appoint eligible candidates against vacant positions.
