Deputy Prime Minister directs strict implementation of austerity measures

Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has once again directed all government ministries to implement strict austerity measures in view of the situation in the Middle East.

During a recent meeting held in Islamabad, Dar reviewed the implementation of financial restrictions that were previously approved following consultations with provincial officials under the supervision of the Prime Minister.

Highlighting the need for financial prudence in view of the current economic difficulties, the Deputy Prime Minister urged all ministries and divisions to demonstrate a high level of responsibility and wisdom in government expenditures and administrative decisions.

The meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining financial discipline as a strategic response to economic challenges affected by international conditions, reinforcing the government’s commitment to safeguarding the national economy through prudent expenditure management.
