DFP expresses solidarity with martyr’s family

Srinagar, July 02, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has expressed solidarity and sympathy with the family of Ghulam Ahmad Butt of Barzulla, Srinagar, whose son, Mudasir Ahmad Butt is believed to be martyred by Indian forces in Kupwara earlier last month but the authorities are not handing over his body to the family.

The party spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said Kashmiri people are considered a cheap commodity by the occupational forces but the irony is that local authorities do not pay any heed to oppressed voices, which is more hurting.

Quoting his father, the DFP spokesman said that Mudasir Ahmad had left his home in old Barzulla in December 2016 for some work. He stayed in touch with family members on phone, but in January his phone became switched off. On June 29, the family heard that Mudasir has been killed in a cordon and search operation in Kupwara. They went to Kralpora Kupwara police station where they were told that the slain was a foreigner and had been buried.

Terming the role of police authorities as criminal for not photographing the body before its silent and secret burial, the spokesman said that Kashmiris are being taken for-granted and at times not considered as human beings. Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman, Zafar Akber Butt continued mass contact programme.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Zafar Akbar Butt addressed the mourners at Civil Lines, Srinagar, and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members. While visiting families of 2010 martyr in outskirts of Srinagar at Batamaloo and Gangbug he paid rich tributes to the martyrs.
