The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Fahad Khalaf Al-Kharusi, today engaged in a significant dialogue with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, underscoring plans to enhance educational collaboration between their nations.

The meeting saw both representatives reaffirming their dedication to bolstering ties in the education sector. Dr. Siddiqui noted the historical and amicable relations between Pakistan and Oman, which play a pivotal role in regional stability. He revealed plans to explore new collaborative opportunities within the educational sphere with Oman.

Ambassador Al-Kharusi highlighted Oman”s achievement in balancing modernization with cultural preservation, indicating a model of progress for partnership. Dr. Siddiqui proposed expanding cooperation in teaching the Arabic language, emphasizing its importance for understanding the Holy Quran. He announced the introduction of Arabic language courses in educational institutions as a step toward this goal.

Furthermore, the Minister expressed interest in translating Arabic literature into Urdu and vice versa to enhance cultural exchange and knowledge transfer. The Omani Ambassador reiterated the commitment to strengthen ties between the education ministries of both countries and extended an invitation to Dr. Siddiqui to visit his office.

Progress on previously signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the two countries since 2019 was also acknowledged, marking a continued effort toward educational advancement.
