Sharmila assures to use all resources to improve technical education

KARACHI:Sharmila Farooqui, the Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister, has said that no stone would remain unturned for the improvement of technical education and all resources would also be used in this connection while the full cooperation with private sector was planned.

 

She said while addressing an especial session of group discussion organized by the Hope Academy by Coded-minds. PSP leader Arshad Virah, PTI’s PMA Arsalan Taj, former Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Ghous Buxh Brozai, businessmen head Atique Mir, education expert, Imran Chisti, Director K-Electric Ahsan Anees, QEC Mustafa Masti Bagh, Director Indus University, Shima Haider, and Ma’az Shah, Shahbaz Islam also addressed the session.

 

Former CM Nawab Ghaus Buxh Brozai said that Balochistan was still backward in education and they would have to take practical steps for improvement of education system. PSP’s Arshad Virah assured of his maximum contribution and offered to teach two students for two hours daily.

 

MPA Arsalan Taj revealed that the result of over 200 billion provincial budget was zero, as almost seven million children could not reach secondary from primary level which was not only alarming but also a challenge to the government.

 

Founder and the President of Coded-minds, Umer Farooque demanded of the government utmost assistance and cooperation for the improvement in vocational and technical education sector. He stated that the journey of Coded-Minds started from Karachi which would spread across the country until the last border line of Azad Kashmir.

 

Amina Khosheggi said that the country’s literacy rate is very low which needs solid steps. At the end of group discussion, free bus service was inaugurated. Tasnim Zehra, Dr Fizza Yasmeen, Shama Jabeen, Javed Ahmed and others were also present on the occasion.
