Islamabad, November 01, 2019 (PPI-OT): Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League, Zahid Ashraf, has denounced the Modi regime’s action of dividing occupied Kashmir into two Union Territories, which will to be directly ruled by New Delhi. Zahid Ashraf in a statement issued in Islamabad called it a shameful act and violation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir.
He termed the bifurcation of the territory reflection of an imperial and arrogant communal mindset which must evoke a strong worldwide condemnation and a genuine political and diplomatic rejection. Zahid Ashraf maintained that the illegal division of the territory would only increase hatred against India amongst Kashmiris. He said that if it was left unwound and was not repealed, it would lead to a nuclear confrontation between Pakistan and India that would be disastrous for the entire region.
